Saiyūki World

Saiyūki World - Nintendo FamicomSaiyūki World, which literally translates to "Journey to the West World") is a game that was developed by Westone and published by Jaleco for Nintendo's Famicom (Family Computer) on November 11, 1988 in Japan. The game is based on Wonder Boy in Monster Land, but modified to include content from the Chinese novel Journey to the West.

Wonder Boy in Monster Land was also released for the PC Engine as Bikkuriman World in Japan, where the games characters replaced by Bikkuriman characters but in Bikkuriman World only the characters and story were changed. In Saiyūki World the design of the rounds have also been modified and new story elements were added but are still similar to Wonder Boy in Monster Land. Saiyūki World does remove the time limit from the original version and the main character Book was replaced by Son Gokū.
